Robot Control Center User Guide #

Introduction #

This manual describes the Robot Control Center (RCC) application for use with He-Five Robots.

It gives control over the following Robot functions:

  • Moving the Robot.
  • Control of different grippers.
  • Robot configuration.
  • Creation and management of parameter sets
    (via-points, stations, Robot programs and other application specifics).
  • Testing parameter sets.
  • Creation of robot programs.
  • Direct Robot communication via command line.

Home Screen #

Main Panel AT Robot (Type 1)

NOTE: The main panel depends on the selected Robot type.

Wafer Transfer Robot (Type 1) Pick-and-Place Robot (Type 3)

Main Screen #

Every screen has access to the Main Navigation Menu and Status Bar.
Some screens contain an Action Bar and Jog Panel.

In Panel Navigation

Status Bar #

Connection Status #

Icon Description
Device not connected
RCC is running but is not currently connected to Robot/Device. Check configuration.
Device connected
RCC is running and connected to Robot/Device.

Robot Status #

Icon Description
Idle
Robot is awaiting instruction.
Busy
Robot is busy / in motion.

Misc Status #

Icon Description
Service Mode
Service mode enabled for use by qualified technicians.

Warning Status #

Icon Description
Warning
Robot warnings and errors. See dashboard for details.

Jog Panel #

WARNING: Use Jog CAREFULLY. The RCC Station Tester does not include any preventions against damaging wafer (substrate) or End-Effector.

The Jog Panel (when available) can be opened by pressing « Jog in the top right corner of the screen. This panel can also be locked onto the screen.

In order to perform Jog operations on a specific axis, your Robot must have its Motors turned On.

This can be done one of three ways:

  • In the Action Bar select Robot > Turn Motors On
  • On the Dashboard Screen toggle Motors on in the Options panel.
  • On the Terminal Screen type command SERVOON.

Make sure that Homing is physically possible before performing HOME operation.

Jog Panel give you ability to move a specific robot axis a set amount of steps, and to monitor position and end-effector status.
